Me and a friend happened to be discussing R. Kelly and reminiscing about how f'ing amazing "Trapped In the Closet" is today, and it reminded me how long it's been since the last installment of the series.

We both really hope it continues, very intrigued to find out how the characters deal with this "package" and work through their various trials and tribulations. Really enjoy the satire and social commentary, and the range of Kelly playing these eclectic and diverse roles is always a treat to behold.

I'm sure it would be painful/impossible, but I would love to see a weekly series on HBO/Showtime with this caliber of storytelling combined with musicianship. Right now the only comparable narrative/musical is Glee, which is stuck in an entirely different closet.

Kells tweeted TITC would come after Untitled but wasn't specific about the time. I wouldn't expect it till next year. He had the next chapters written already but needs to get it filmed and that's the hard part. A lot of people involved and you got to have financing. It's been such a long time since the last installment that I wonder if TITC will ever really surface with new chapters. It's lost a lot of momentum with the time lapse. I hope the series continues though.
