R Kelly to Finish Songs He Started With Michael Jackson

As some of you may know, a great number of artists who worked with Michael Jackson in the past are stepping up to carry on his legacy. R. Kelly is one of them. According to a recent interview, Kells is wrapping up some collaborations he did with Michael before his passing. “We’re going to get it out,” he said, “Michael liked the way I would try to sing the songs just like him. This is old news; it's been out for a few weeks now that this is going to happen! I can't wait for it, though.

I got an email from ticket master that the concert in Albany, NY on 10/10 was cancelled!! I would like to know why because i am VERY upset!!! I have been a fan since 1992, BUYING every cd he came out with, been to 3 concerts and stayed a fan through all of the mess he's been accused of. I feel i have a right to know why that was the ONLY concert date cancelled. If its because he didnt sell enough tickets then thats f***ed up..what about his DEDICATED fans who did buy tickets, who took off 2 days of work to go, who saved $500 to spend at the concert?!?! If that is the reason that date was cancelled, i will break every cd, burn my t-shirts and never listen to him again!!! I know that isnt gonna do anything to hurt him, not with all of the fans he has, but i am really upset over this, and i WILL NOT be a fan to anyone who can treat his fans like s***!!!

gotta have them when they drop and yall go check me out at www.myspace.com/theswagstate

it's screamer remix!!!

@kellschick... You don't need to do all of that to yourself because one concert is going to be canceled. If you received your money back, you can always go to one of the New York City concerts. There are so many fans in NYC that he had to set up a second concert for it. From Albany to NYC is three hours at most I believe, and many fans are traveling up to ten hours just because his local concerts aren't so local to some cities. Because one concert is not going to be in your area, it's not a reason to break every R. Kelly CD, burn all of your T-Shirts, and never listen to his music again. I'm sure if there was more attention given to that concert by his fans, it wouldn't have been canceled. If it was canceled because of lack of ticket sales, then I don't think that many people that purchased those tickets to the Albany, NY concert were ones who took days off, and spent $500. I understand that you probably feel horrible because of this, and I would, too, but I would just purchase tickets to another area's concert.

Hey Kells,

I was at your the Wamu Theater Oct 16 & the show was Fabulous as usual. As I watched the concert from center stage from section 200 I could swear you were singing only to me. I really enjoyed it but wished you could have stayed longer. Anyway I can't wait for the new album & keep up the great work!

PS

I have never missed a concert. You sung to me a couple of years ago at Radio City Music Hall & then came back out to speak to your fans. I love that type of dedication you give to your fans you are truly the GREATEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Mr. Robert,

My name is Tim. Besides your talent and music, I was first impressed with you as a good person, a great human being back in 2000 when I was a Tulane University Student in New Orleans and a big fan of yours since 1993, and I had noticed you in our men's locker room. I had called you by your name, "Mr. Robert", and you had walked back 50-100 feet even though you were out the door to come back to me simply to shake my hand and acknowledge me as a regular person, a senior student. I know have a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry but I would love to get another chance to sit down and talk with you. All my ex-girfriends, friends in general, and even acquaintances know that if they know Tim they have to understand and appreciate R.Kelly's music - that's how influential you are. When I first heard "Sweet Sadie" I thought about my mother, whom I also lost when I was only 18.

...Now, about the NYC concerts I saw this past Friday and Saturday. I went with my ex-girlfriend on Friday and with a good buddy on Saturday, and I was truly amazed. I do not miss your concerts when they're in town, but I am in awe at how smooth and strong your voice was, how friendly and funny you were to the audience, and how you have matured as a show-man over the years. Just the sheer amount of songs you sing at your concerts are impressive, and demonstrate how much you value all your fans' favorites to fit them all into your show. The smooth transitions from song to song, the "Strip For You" performance, and "Fiesta", as well as tributes to Michael Jackson, another King whom I used to be a fan of, to Sam Cooke, and the clip to "I Can't Sleep" were highlights for me and were great. I would love to see more reggae music as you evolve into that genre, and "Slow Wind" in the next shows, and "I Believe I Can Fly" as well. Your voice is crisp, you had great dancers, great improvisation, jokes, costumes. This is the most solid tour and concerts I have ever seen you perform. It is my dream to sit down and talk to you, and become friends one day or to party together with a group of my closest friends and yours at a club or something like that, or at a wedding or a big celebration.

Good luck with the rest of your tour!

Tim in Brooklyn, New York
